Bob Laxton was a Labour MP for Derby North; he was elected in May 1997, and re-elected in 2001 and 2005. [1]

Laxton was responsible for obtaining a House of Commons pass for Whitehall Advisers lobbyists who eventually became embroiled in an influence peddling scheme.[2]
