Leanne Mohamad nearly unseated Wes Streeting in the UK/General election/2024 |
Leanne Mohamad is a British political activist who stood against Labour's Shadow Health Secretary, Wes Streeting, at Ilford North constituency in the UK/General election/2024.[1] She polled 15,119 votes compared to Wes Streeting's 15,647.[2]
On 7 July 2024, Leanne Mohamad posted on X:
- "What we achieved was so astounding, taking Wes Streeting to 500 votes that the mainstream press wants to completely erase me from the narrative. Shocking."[3]
