The University of Baltimore is a state-owned university in the Mt. Vernon, Baltimore, Maryland, United States. It was established in 1925 by local businessmen. In the 1970s, it merged with Eastern College, Mount Vernon School of Law, and Baltimore College of Commerce. From 1975, only degree studies are offered, and the state owns the educational institution.

UB is one of only two universities in Maryland that offer law studies - the other is the University of Maryland. At UB, there were 4,948 students and 363 academic staff in 2006, and in the same year, tuition fees were US $ 6,070 for students registered in the state.
