The response of Anglo-US-NATO governments and Commercially-controlled media to Russia moving ahead with delivery of 2000 tons of humanitarian aid to Eastern Ukraine without permission from the Kiev Junta was immediate and, in similar fashion to the response to the Crash of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 was a unanimous orchestrated chorus of condemnation.

Nowhere in this chorus is there a scintilla of concern for the humanitarian disaster visited upon the populations of Donetsk and Luhansk who have been without water, sanitation, electricity ofr food deliveries for weeks as a direct result of missile and artillery bombardment by the Ukrainian military.

Some examples:

The United States is strongly condemning the movement of a Russian convoy of humanitarian aid into eastern Ukraine without the approval of the Ukrainian government.

Pentagon spokesman John Kirby told reporters the U.S. is very concerned about the Russian trucks crossing the Ukrainian border.

”We strongly condemn this action and any actions that Russian forces take that increase tensions in the region," he said. "Russia should not send vehicles, persons or cargo of any kind into Ukraine, whether under the guise of humanitarian convoys or any other pretext, without Kyiv’s express permission.” [1]

The United States demanded Moscow remove an aid convoy it sent into rebel-held eastern Ukraine without permission on Friday, accusing Russia of a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of its former Soviet neighbor and threatening more sanctions.

NATO's top military commander said the movement of trucks looked like a disguised attempt to reinforce separatist forces. [2]

Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko has accused Russia of a "flagrant violation of international law" after Russian humanitarian aid lorries entered Ukraine without permission.

More than 100 Russian lorries entered on Friday without an Red Cross escort and most without customs clearance. [3]

Western leaders agree that Russian convoy, which entered Ukraine without Kiev's permit, is a new provocation by Moscow.

The US and Germany have denounced the movement of a Russian aid convoy into Ukraine without permission from Kiev, calling on Moscow to stop dangerous escalations in its neighbour country.

US President Barack Obama and German Chancellor Angela Merkel have discusses the Ukraine crisis over the phone on Friday, according to a White House statement. [4]
