Usage

Used to mark stand-alone ISBNs that may not be valid. For a fuller explanation see Category:Articles with invalid ISBNs
Do not place this template in the |isbn= parameter of a Citation Style 1 citation. The citations already flag malformed ISBNs and the inclusion of text other than an ISBN in |isbn= corrupts COinS metadata.
