The US Senate House Permanent Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations concluded in 2012 that the US Department of Homeland Security has endangered the civil liberties of Americans and spent millions of dollars on collecting not "counter-terrorism" intelligence but "a bunch of crap".[1]
