The Wikipedia page is unclear, one sided and contains a plethora of largely insignificant opinions. Only the section "Details in Dispute" provides much that is relevant to the unnecessary "dispute" over responsibility.

The Wikispooks article includes first-hand accounts by the American survivors and a table of the various "Reliable Sources", indicating that almost no independent observers accept the "official" version.
