Taji Mustafa is the Media Spokesperson for Hizb ut-Tahrir UK and a member of the executive committee.[1]

He has been active in Muslim community affairs since the mid-1990's and has lectured widely at seminars and conferences throughout the UK and abroad and has made numerous media appearances on Muslim community affairs.

His critique of Ed Husain's 2007 book, The Islamist, about Hizb ut-Tahrir provides substantial insight into his views on Western Attitudes to Islam. It was published in the Guardian 'Comment is Free' in May 2007 under the title "The 'Islamist' bogeyman" [2]
