Canadian ambassador Robert Wright (2005-2009) comes from a family of high-ranking diplomats.
Ambassadors to Mongolia.

The foreign Ambassadors to Mongolia are the highest diplomatic representatives of the respective countries to Mongolia.

The Mongolian capital city Ulaanbaatar hosts 26 embassies. Many other countries have non-resident embassies either resident in Beijing, Seoul, or elsewhere.

Overview

Wedged between China and Russia, Mongolia aligned with Russia from independence in 1912 until the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991.

After 1991, the US increased its influence, managing to insert some of its preferred people in leadership positions, like president Nambaryn Enkhbayar.
