Career
During World War II Bell served under Sir William Stevenson at the British Security Coordination in New York before moving back to Britain in 1942 to act as the London liaison officer between MI6 and the OSS.
After the war, Bell joined MI5 in 1949 and worked as an advisor to various Commonwealth governments and as personal assistant to MI5 chief Roger Hollis. Following his retirement from MI5 in 1967, Bell raised funds for Interdoc from British sources.[1]
