Centreground Political Communications
Bell Pottinger installed a former aide to Tony Blair as MD of its public affairs practice as it acquired the lobbying firm Centreground Political Communications (CPC) whose founding director Razi Rahman took up the post on 12 June 2014.
Bell Pottinger snapped up CPC, which was set up by another former Blair aide Darren Murphy in 2011, for an undisclosed fee.
Under the new set-up, Murphy became Chairman of Bell Pottinger Geopolitical, previously known as Bell Pottinger Sans Frontiers.
Rahman, a former assistant political secretary to Blair in Downing Street, becomes MD of Bell Pottinger Political, the agency's UK public affairs practice. He replaces Stephen Lotinga who left earlier in 2011 and is now director of communications for Nick Clegg.
Tim Collins remained Chairman of Bell Pottinger Political.[1]
