Eliezer "Elie" Wiesel born September 30, 1928)[1] is a Romanian-born[2] Jewish-American[1] professor and political activist. He is the author of Night, a work based on his claimed experiences as a prisoner in the Auschwitz, Buna, and Buchhenwald concentration camps. [3]. The book continues to rate among the definitive works of literature on "The Holocaust"
