The "Narrative", when carefully observed almost never fit, not even in the pre internet 70s, 80s and 90s. Got findicated when: - seen the austere poverty in Tjernobyl as a place with special economic privileges, - the weird explanations for the attrocities in Yugoslavia, while touristic and cordial before and - Syria that I visited in 2006 and 2009, a place with very low crimerates.
