Jack Murphy is an investigative journalist, author and a former U.S. Army Special Forces soldier. He served as a Sniper and Team Leader in 3rd Ranger Battalion and as a Senior Weapons Sergeant on a Military Free Fall team in 5th Special Forces Group.[1][2] He is known for his reporting on military, special operations [3] and veterans issues.[4]
He was involved with SOFREP (Special Operations Forces Report) which focuses on news and analysis related to special operations units and the military.
