Adrenochrome is a metabolite of adrenaline and is involved in the formation of skin pigment (melanin).
Creation
Adrenochrome is formed both in the human body in small amounts and in the air through the oxidation of adrenaline. Adrenochrome breaks down into other substances very quickly in air if it is not stored appropriately.[1]
