""Lina E."" was convicterd to serve 5 years and 3 months in prison. The court has deemed it proven that the 28-year-old formed a criminal organization. The group attacked numerous people with hammers over the years, among them a sewage worker who wore a hat from the wrong brand.[1] Nonetheless the sentence was suspended.[2]
The German minister of interior, who authored for the left wing extremist organization VVN-BdA[3], Nancy Faeser, cautioned that the spiral of radicalization and violence must not continue to turn. "Our security authorities are closely monitoring the violent left-extremist scene and will continue to act consistently,”. Furthermore the authorities would also focus on the left-extremist scene in the coming days and weeks.[4]
