Notice and Disclaimer
This timeline facility is experimental. Until this notice is removed, some content is likely to be for illustration and test purposes only.
Instructions
- The timeline has four time bands: Minutes, Hours, Weeks and Years.
- Events are named in the Top-most band. Clicking on an event name opens an information bubble containing further information and a link to the corresponding event page.
- Events in the lower three bands are indicated by blue vertical dashes.
- Left-click-hold on blank space in any of the bands facilitates dragging the timeline forwards and backwards. Centering the lower band vertical dashes in the light-coloured area of these bands renders events fully visible in the top band

Timelines on Wikispooks
Simile-widgets software library is at the heart of the Semantic Media Wiki timeline implementation used on Wikispooks. The present version has some cosmetic shortcomings compared to the original. However, its big benefit is that it facilitates simple, multi-user wiki-based editing of both Timeline pages and their constituent events. It also makes linking to further information and discussion pages simple.
Acknowledgements
The above timeline was populated on 15 October 2013 with data originally prepared by David Francois Huyne to illustrate his 'Simile-widgets Timeline' software. In it's initial state, the data is not claimed to be either an accurate, definitive or complete representation of events. It was included only as a suitable basis for crowd-sourced editing, addition and improvement.
