Yalta European Strategy/Meeting/2019
The Yalta European Strategy Meeting for 2019 was from 12-14th of September.
Agenda
The main theme was "Happiness Now. New Approaches for a World in Crisis". Other items included a speech and Q&A with newly selected president Volodymyr Zelenskyy, a speech of Speech of Kersti Kaljulaid, President of Estonia; "Happiness as Government Goal – Best Practices, Innovations, Measurement"; "Winning Ukraine's Battle for Energy Independence"; "Climate Change: Challenges and Opportunities for Ukraine"; "The Future of Europe" and "Government for Happiness?"[1].
Finland's President Sauli Niinistö held a speech at the conference, concluding
. More society, less anarchy. We have to rebuild the trust that has been lost. We have to reconstruct the feeling of belonging, an understanding that the problems of the 21st century require global solutions.[2]
