I don't see the reason for putting it as nation state. The island is a French overseas territory. The citizens are French, with EU status holding EU passports. Terje (talk) 23:27, 17 February 2026 (UTC)

Indeed. But i want to get it sorted under |place Caribbean, all islands there are template "nation states", it seems to not work any other way. Mid 2025 Puerto Rico got added |location=Caribbean Sea (still as place) and did not show under Caribbean, so i assume SMW does only let you do it this way right now. You both make good points, which is why I've just copied Template:Nation state to Template:Colony and modified the |constitutes, so we have two options that should both appear. -- Robin (talk) 18:15, 18 February 2026 (UTC)
