Netherlands/Prime Minister/Deputy or better with Netherlands/Minister/Deputy Prime Minister? The same might be the case for Prime Minister: Netherlands/Minister/Prime Minister would get it into the same list as all the other Dutch ministers. PM is important enough to be on its own. -- Terje (talk) 01:47, 24 November 2025 (UTC)

I don't like Netherlands/Minister/Prime Minister since it has repetition for one thing, and another transliterates as "Prime Minister OF Minister OF [the] Netherlands", which echoes this redundancy. Currently we don't have a policy on this, and it is worth thinking through in depth since it will affect hundreds of pages. The following criteria, at least, are relevant:

  1. Accuracy -- i.e. similarity to the usual language used
  2. Convenience for users browsing
  3. Convenience for users arriving via a search engine

As well as the titles, there is the |constitutes also to be considered. i.e. If we have a page Netherlands/Prime Minister with |constitutes=Netherlands/Minister then it would be listed as an example. Or even, if we had '|leaders=Netherlands/Prime Minister' on the Netherlands/Minister page. Then it would be a one off, atop the list of subpages, in the infobox (and therefore machine readable). Are there any other edge cases that might shed light on this? -- Robin (talk) 02:38, 24 November 2025 (UTC)

Maybe also Deputy PM's could be put as |leaders=Netherlands/Prime Minister/Deputy on the Netherlands/Minister page?

That wouldn't occur automatically due to the page name, but if made Netherlands/Prime Minister appear by having it appear in a |leaders field, since we choose how that display, we could probably have deputy appear there as well. Let's pick one page, say, Netherlands/Minister for testing this. -- Robin (talk) 13:41, 24 November 2025 (UTC)
