Shunned by MSM
Professor Goldberg used to be invited on Israeli panels, TV broadcasts, and newspapers to present his heterodox analyses on the country. But after October 7, when Goldberg began vocally criticising what he would come to call a genocide in Gaza, as well as Israel’s policies toward Hezbollah and Iran, the invitations stopped.
- “Producers have repeatedly invited me for a pre-interview where they ask all kinds of questions,” Goldberg says, “then they would take the answers back to their superiors — and I never hear back.”
- Yet Goldberg isn’t deterred by the shunning, which he calls a “sad reflection of the limits of the discourse in Israel.”
Alt following
Since becoming an outcast locally, Goldberg has amassed a following on social media and his analysis has found an international audience, including on Al Jazeera, a channel banned in Israel, where he continues to push for a more nuanced understanding of Iran.[2]
Israel is testing
On 13 June 2025, Ori Goldberg posted on X:
- "Israel is conducting a test. It's main interest is diverting the world's attention from the genocide in Gaza.
- "A close second is the desire to ascertain whether Israel still enjoys absolute impunity. I'm getting a sense, even from DC, that Israel stands to be unpleasantly surprised. Israel's friends are specifically stressing that they are focused on protectimg their own nationals and assets rather than "Israel".
- "The shift may appear miniscule. It may progress at a tectonic pace. It is there."[3]

| Document:Why did Israel attack Iran? | blog post | 14 June 2025 | 2025 Israeli attacks on Iran Genocide Gaza Palestine Security Jew Supremacism Regime change WWIII | Israel has two reasons to attack Iran. The first is to divert the world's attention from the genocide in Gaza (and the one beginning in the besieged West Bank). The second is for the Jewish supremacist state to achieve "security" through continued killing with impunity. A world that allows this to become a norm is a world whose end is near. |
