A short recording of a woman (one Gabriela Rico Jiménez) in front of a hotel in Monterrey was played on local Mexican television in 2009.

History

In the recording Jiménez has spoken disconnected about being under duress, having lost her freedom in 2001, acts of murder and cannibalism involving prominent figures, the Royal family, Disney, and one of Mexico's wealthiest men.

In a follow up to the story, a text from an anonymous person was published an a Spanish language blog, claiming to be from somebody who had short contact with her in a police station after the arrest that followed the scene in front of the hotel:

UPDATE 06/26/2015:

A witness speaks after a long time (I will not reveal his name for obvious reasons), this person has told us what he experienced in the first person after approaching Gabriela with the intention of helping her, I leave his testimony:

"At that time I was in the same place where the girl was taken after being detained, I was doing my practices in that place (I have a law degree) I still remember her face full of despair, fear, anguish. she felt the atmosphere very heavy and a strange feeling. I approached him and asked him some questions, name if he knew where he lived etc., he told me that we were all already dead, that we were all dead, that we were theirs, among other very strange things ... that simply left me paralyzed. After 20 minutes of being with her, some tall, well-dressed men arrived, they practically forced me out of there, I asked why they were doing this if she was just a poor girl with a mental disorder. I asked where they were taking her, they told me that it was none of my business that for my sake I retired, when I was moving away they stopped me and asked me what she had told me, I answered them only crazy things and ran away. The next day I went to the top of the ministry and told them about the issue and that I wanted information because the girl's family requested it, they just laughed and said: - "Really? If she doesn't exist she never existed and you don't work here ..." I got a chill and I left, left everything and left Monterrey ... I had a feeling that what happened those days and what that girl said were true. As I could, I dropped everything and got out of there.

She told me that in Monterrey there is a kind of underground base where they live and regularly steal from children as food and other things ... Because of my profession I do not dare to reveal my encounter, I have family and children who depend on me and For logical and reputational reasons I can't, I would like to go out and spread it out to the 4 winds, but society would call me crazy, even though I have the marks of the attack, my back is a bit bad, there are nights when I just can't sleep , I have that same feeling, that same feeling when I saw them the first time, it is like a feeling, it is appreciated that they do not judge me as crazy for telling them that, only I and those who were with me at that moment know what happened ... those are monsters (at least) the one that attacked me was a monster, if he found me, he would only have died, since a drawing came into my hands. "

Repopularization

The clip was discussed by the podcast format Mexicounexplained in 2022, and picked up by the Dailymail mid 2024 (and few others).

After the mention of cannibalism in the January 2026 Epstein file release, the incident again received wider publicity.
