Eleazer Andrews "Lee" Williams was a CIA spook who was Chief of Station in Singapore.
Education
Williams, a native of Dalton, Massachusts, was a 1949 graduate of Princeton University. He attended Harvard University law school before joining the CIA. During World War II, he served with the US Army in Europe and was wounded during the Battle of the Bulge. After months in the hospital, he returned to active duty with a commission in military intelligence.
During his career, he was a 1971 graduate of the National War College and also the recipient of a master's degree in international economics from George Washington University.
Career
He worked for the CIA from 1954 to 1978. Over the years, he had been stationed in Paris, London, Miami (JMWAVE?), Saigon and Singapore. He ended his career as Chief of Station in Singapore, until around April 1978.[1]
Later activities
After retiring, he was the Washington representative for the Hospital Corp. of America Intl. and owned a small pharmaceutical company active in the Middle East.[2]
Williams was a member of the Foreign Policy Association, the Association of Former Intelligence Officers and the National Press Club.[3]
