The domestic division of the United States Central Intelligence Agency, among other things recruiting foreign citizens in the US.

The CIA National Resources Division is the domestic division of the United States Central Intelligence Agency.[1] While its biggest base is in New York, it has bases and activities all over the country.

Activities

The CIA's National Resources Division is "a little-known, U.S.-based component of the agency's National Clandestine Service. Its main business is to openly gather information from Americans who've traveled to places the CIA is interested in, particularly hard targets like North Korea, and to inveigle foreigners in the U.S. - officials, scientists and students - into spying when they return home."[2]

Almost from its inception, the CIA cultivated foreign students, recognizing their value as informants and future government officials in their homelands.[3]
