The Berlin Security Conference 2025 was held November 18-19, 2025, in Berlin, Germany, bringing together "senior political leadership and executive military from Europe, the U.S., Canada and other transatlantic allies " to make them "understand that NATO and EU are currently facing an omnidirectional threat".[1][2]

Program

The event allegedly "is free of any government influence", but is instead sponsored by the weapons industry, like this ad for the Taurus cruise missile.[3]

The event consisted of 16 panel discussions where "top-class specialists" discussed items such as "Total Defence", or "Capability build-up for the European pillar". Since Sweden was a partner of this years 'conference, a theme was "THE NORTH: From the Baltics to the Arctic circle: Threat, risks and their mitigation".[4]

Paranoid worldview

When describing its goals the BSC "First and foremost, we want to bring together senior political leadership and executive military from Europe, the U.S., Canada and other transatlantic allies to discuss current strategic developments and identify future trends and options for security and defence policy action." The points the BSC wants to indoctrinate include "To understand that NATO and EU are currently facing an omnidirectional threat." and to "improve mutual cohesive positions about those challenges in the Euro-Atlantic political domain and identify opportunities for structured and effective responses against strategic threats in NATO's and the EU's Area of Interest, and to show the Alliance’s resolve."[5]

Vice Admiral Thomas Daum wrote that:

State actors like Russia, Iran or North Korea, but also non-state actors like terrorist groups or organized crime groups are using propaganda and disinformation – knowing that the weakest point of the nervous system usually is its human operator. Both strategies have one goal: to weaken social cohesion, undermine trust between the population, government, military and their leadership, and thus render Germany incapable of action.[6]

Participants

The known participants (at the right) are only the panelists, the total number is not known. Participants include Members of Parliaments, politicians, and senior executives of the military, and security organizations and the armaments industry.[7]
