DescriptionIn both polls Reform UK gained more votes than all the other parties combined

The 2025 Frinton by-elections were held on 5 June 2025 following the death of veteran Conservative Party councillor Nick Turner in March 2025. Voters in the Frinton ward went to the polls in the by-elections to elect a new local councillor for both Tendring District Council (TDC) and for Frinton and Walton Town Council (FAWTC).[1]

Landslide

The TDC seat was won by Reform UK's Anne Hilary Davis with 1,222 votes.

The FAWTC seat was won by Reform UK's Fiona Ann Knowles with 1,198 votes.

In both polls Reform UK gained more votes than all the other parties combined.

Turnout in both by-elections was 42 per cent.
