The Commons Project is a global project from "public, private and non-profit sectors" to build a 'tamper-resistant' identification system to collect, store and share personal health information.[1]
Founded by the World Economic Forum in 2019 with money from the Rockefeller Foundation to create a digital 'tamper-resistant' validation systems that can't be avoided or worked around, it providentially came as a ready-made solution just in time for the global introduction of vaccine passports in 2021.
Coated in PR-language it talks of respect for "individual privacy, transparency and accountability" so that people "have the right to control and benefit from their personal information". Who it is really made for becomes clear from this statement on its website: "By aligning around verifiable health credentials, the CommonTrust Network enables governments and other destinations to trust the data from a travelers' health pass app or QR code while protecting their data privacy."[2] (i.e. governments and 'others' should have a system they can trust.)

CommonPass
The Project laid the groundwork for the Vaccine passports that was introduced from 2021 The system will allow governments to be able to validate a traveler’s record of a COVID PCR test or vaccination administered in another country. Governments also get the power to update their health screening entry requirements easily[4]
US national vaccine pass
In the United States (per October 2021) a SMART Health Card developed by the Vaccine Credential Initiative was issued to people receiving COVID-vaccines in several states including New York State and California, and also to those vaccinated at one of more than 17,100 pharmacies nationwide, thus making it a de facto national standard. The Commons Project is one of the founders of the VCI initiative.[5]
The CommonTrust Network
The CommonTrust Network is a registry of data sources including health systems, testing providers, vaccination providers, and public health registries. The aim is to create an integrated medical record of all people so that it can be shares with new doctors or during telehealth visits, incidentally making this data also available to Big Pharma and others to understand "the full picture". The framework will be general enough that "consumers" can use it to verify other "routine immunizations" — the system will make it easy to mandate them - or even digital prescriptions. As booster shots become available (and mandatory) it will be easier to link to official vaccination data because their own apps are already up and running.[6]
The system works as a middleman. Participating health organizations make test results or vaccination records available to their patients as tamper-resistant verifiable digital certificates containing the patient’s identity, health information, and digital signature of the issuing health organization. These digital certificates can be printed as a QR code on paper, accessed through a web portal, or uploaded into an app. The individual can then choose to share their certificate with a third party (or they can 'choose' not to. In that case they might be denied access to things like food or hospital access).
The CommonTrust Network enables governments and other destinations to trust the data from a travelers' health pass app or QR code while protecting their data privacy.[7]

Its 'assembly', or larger advisory board, comes from some of the largest corporations in the world, like BlackRock, Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan, Edelman and spooky US government ageniceis like USAID and the National Endowment for Democracy (Esther Dyson) and many others.[8]
