Former UK colony in East Africa. The president, John Magufuli, who in 2020 resisted WHO pressure to institute a COVID lockdown, died in 2021.

Tanzania is a nation state in East Africa. The president, John Magufuli, was praised for his moves against corruption, but that changed after he criticised the Official Narrative about COVID-19 and declared the pandemic over in the country. He suddenly died in 2021.

COVID-19

Tanzania suspended reporting of COVID statistics on 8 May 2020. The president, John Magufuli, was a critic of the Official Narrative about COVID-19.[1] Like his "close friend" Pierre Nkurunziza, he refused to institute a COVID lockdown.[2]
