Stephen J. Pollak was US Assistant Attorney General.[1]

Education

Pollak was a graduate of Dartmouth College in 1950, and Yale Law School in 1956.[1]

Career

He worked in the U.S. Department of Justice and the White House from 1961 through 1969. He was the assistant to the Solicitor General from 1961 to 1964. He was advisor to the President for National Capital Affairs in 1967, and as First Assistant and Assistant Attorney General in charge of the Civil Rights Division from 1965 to 1967, and 1967 to 1969.[1]

He was a partner at the law firm Shea & Gardner prior to its combination with Goodwin Procter in 2004, and was chair of its Executive Committee from 1993 to 1996.[1]
