Ron Brown was a United States Secretary of Commerce and former DNC Chairman whom Russ Winter termed a "Clinton bagman and apparatchik".[1] He died in the 1996 Croatia USAF CT-43 crash, without being autopsied. At the time of his death Brown was being investigated, and spoke publicly of his willingness to cut a deal with prosecutors. The rest of the people on the plane also died. A few days later the air traffic controller reportedly committed suicide.[2]

His unexpected death reportedly caused fear amongst another Clinton associate, Johnny Chung.[3]
