Roberta Metsola is a Maltese politician who was named as one of many Open Society Foundations/Reliable allies.

Career

After the killing of Daphne Caruana Galizia she famously refused to shake hands with Malta's Prime Minister Joseph Muscat. She wrote "If he thinks he can try to brush off responsibility he is sorely mistaken. Get out now, before you do irreparable damage to the country".[1]

In January 2022, she replaced David Sassoli as President of the European Parliament.[2]

Personal life

She has four sons with her Finnish husband.[3]
