Novara Media (often shortened to Novara)[1] is an independent,[2] left-wing alternative media organisation based in the United Kingdom.

History

Novara Media was founded in 2011 by James Butler and Aaron Bastani and is a trading name of Thousand Hands Ltd, a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee, with an office and studio in south-east London.

Own words

Novara Media is an independent media organisation addressing the issues that are set to define the 21st century, from a crisis of capitalism to racism and climate change. Within that context our goal is a simple one: to tell stories and provide analysis shaped by the political uncertainties of the age, elevating critical perspectives you’re unlikely to find elsewhere. Driven to build a new media for a different politics, our journalism is always politically committed; rather than seeking to moderate between two sides of a debate, our output actively intends to feed back into political action.[3]

But I’ve been told this will cost the party close to half a million in damages and costs.

After the suspension debacle, this is a hope that few can cling to.

2 March 2021Oliver EagletonKeir Starmer is sometimes praised for being an outsider in the world of politics (or mocked as too lawyerly and insufficiently political). But in reality, much of his work as Director of Public Prosecutions blurred the boundaries between prosecutor and politician – following the dictates of the Cameron coalition, negotiating with foreign officials on its behalf, and dropping or pursuing cases according to its interests.
