Major-General Robert Adam Mungo Simpson Melvin CB OBE is a UK soldier, historian, "outstanding intellectual"[1] and a member of the Institute for Statecraft.

Background

He read engineering at Cambridge University.

Career

During his early military career he served in Germany, Kenya and in Belize.
