Mpho Moerane was Mayor of Johannesburg. He replaced Jolidee Matongo who died in a car crash, who in turn replaced Geoff Makhubo who died from COVID.
Death
Moerane died on 18 May 2022, at Netcare Milpark Hospital in Johannesburg from the injuries he had sustained in a car accident a week earlier.[1]
