The Knights of Malta are a Roman Catholic religious secret society of, traditionally, a military, "chivalrous" and "noble nature". It is the one of the world's oldest secret societies, dating back to the 11th century. The Sovereign Military Order of Malta is headquartered in Rome, and is widely considered a sovereign subject of international law.

Official Narrative

The Knights of Malta or the Sovereign Millitary Order of Malta are a self described Roman Catholic order, with 13,500 contributing members. The BBC describes the group as "a major international humanitarian organisation". Matthew Festing, the 79th Prince and Grand Master of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta said about the order in 2013 that "On the one hand it’s a sovereign entity. On the other hand it’s a religious order. On the other hand it’s a humanitarian organization. It’s a complicated mixture of things".

Problems

The group includes prominent members of world governments, intelligence agencies, the banking industry, Big Media, and the military industrial complex which populate the deep state, which fits uncomfortably with the group's stated aims of "Poverty, chastity and obedience", and also with its claims that the order is above international law.

Leadership

The group's leader is termed "Grand Master" and is elected in closed session, retaining the title for life. The current (79th) leader, since 2008, is Matthew Festing, a member since 1977. His predecessor, also an Englishman, was the first since 1258.

“The Knights of Malta is a world organization with its threads weaving through business, banking, politics, the CIA, other intelligence organizations, P2, religion, education, law, military, think tanks, foundations, the United States Information Agency, the United Nations, and numerous other organizations. The world head of the Knights of Malta is elected for a life term, with the approval of the Pope. The Knights of Malta have their own Constitution and are sworn to work toward the establishment of a New World Order with the Pope at its head. Knights of Malta members are also powerful members of the CFR (Council on Foreign Relations) and the Trilateral Commission.”

2013 Celebration

In February 1113, Pope Paschal II issued a papal bull which declared the order independent from bishops or secular authorities. Accordingly, in 2013, a 900th anniversary celebration was held in Rome, to which over 1,000 knights and dames from over 100 countries attended.

Freemasonry

In spite of open antagonism between the catholicism and freemasonry, many of the Knights of Malta are reported to also be freemasons.
