Khalifa Haftar

Khalifta Hifter is a Libyan exile in his late 60's (2011). He is an ex-senior military officer in the army of the Libyan Leader Moammar Gadhafi. In the early 1990's he moved to the USA and, until March 2011 he had lived for 20 years in suburban Virginia USA, within commuting distance of CIA HQ at Langley. In Mid-March he was appointed to lead the Libyan rebel military in Benghazi. [1]
