Kate Harriet Alexandra Rock, Baroness Rock (born 9 October 1968) is a United Kingdom Conservative Party politician and member of the House of Lords. Vice-Chairman of the Conservative Party with special responsibility for business relations, she was nominated for a life peerage in August 2015.[1]

Kate Rock was educated at Hanford School, Sherborne School for Girls and Oxford Polytechnic (BA).[2] She is Visiting Parliamentary Fellow at St Antony’s College, Oxford.[3]

She was created Baroness Rock of Stratton in the County of Dorset on 15 October 2015.[4]

Baroness Rock is a Board Member of the Red Tape Initiative.

Personal life

Her husband Caspar Rock, an Old Etonian, is Chief Investment Officer at Cazenove Capital Management, the wealth management arm of Schroders in the UK, Channel Islands and Asia.

In January 2011, she and her husband invited Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne to their £1.5 million chalet in Klosters, Switzerland for a skiing holiday.[5]
