Karie Murphy is a British Labour Party activist who was Executive Director of the office of the Leader of the Opposition (LOTO) under Jeremy Corbyn.[1] She was moved from the LOTO office to Labour Party headquarters in October 2019.[2]

Following Labour's defeat in the UK/2019 General Election, Karie Murphy was nominated for a peerage by Jeremy Corbyn in his dissolution honours list.[3]

SMT criticism

In 2017 Labour General Secretary’s office director Julie Lawrence called Mr Corbyn’s chief of staff Karie Murphy “crazy” and said that her face “would make a good dartboard,” while Mr Heneghan called her a “bitch face cow.”

Ms Oldknow called Ms Murphy “fat” and Mr Corbyn’s political secretary Katy Clark “a smelly cow.”[4]
