Background
Sārts attended the Riga 50 Secondary School, then the University of Latvia, NATO Defense College and the Swedish Institute for Defence Studies.[1]
Career
Since 1994, Sārts has been working at the Ministry of Defence where various positions are held. From 1999 to 2001, he was the bailiff of the Ministry of State, while the warning secretary Edgar Rinkēč was in training.Cite error: Closing </ref> missing for <ref> tag Jānis Sārts attended the Bilderberg for the first time in 2019.
