Katz opposes the two-state solution and the creation of a Palestinian state in any form, regarding it as unacceptable considering "our rights to this land".

Israel Katz is an Israeli politician and member of the Knesset for Likud who was appointed Israel's Minister of Foreign Affairs on 1 January 2024.

Israel Katz was a member of the Security Cabinet of Israel and has previously been Minister of Agriculture, Minister of Transportation, Minister of Intelligence, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, and Minister of Finance.

On 13 October 2023, Israel Katz said:

“We will fight the terrorist organisation Hamas and destroy it. All the civilian population in Gaza is ordered to leave immediately. We will win. They will not receive a drop of water or a single battery until they leave the world."
