The "Health freedom movement" is a narrative control team which the SDS mobilised after it became evident in 2021 that the project to globally mandate Covid jabs was likely to fail. By steering criticism to the policy of jab mandation it has been reducing discussion about other aspects of the Covid event.
Origins
The phrase "health freedom movement" has been used in the United States since the 1990s.[citation needed]
2021 Covid jab policy pivot
By Summer 2021 the early enthusiasm for people to take Covid jabs was waning, and after a range of carrots were deployed, sticks were brought out; plans were announced to declare it a crime for adults to refuse Covid jabs. Stiff opposition manifested (particularly in Austria[citation needed]) and the policy of mandatory injections was put on hold globally, having only been mandated in a handful of countries.
Membership
Since no formal group exists as such -- the "health freedom movement" is almost exclusively an internet phenomenon -- membership is inevitably somewhat speculative. One common characteristic is that none of the members have publicly looked at the evidence for whether or not a novel coronavirus exists.
Policy
The group's overarching aim is to try to control the narrative about "public health" policy, keeping the Overton window closed for third rail topics such as whether a novel coronavirus actually emerged in 2019 as the official narrative claims. Group members heavily promote prescribed topics such as the Covid origins debate, the safety of Covid jabs or the efficacy of ivermectin/hydroxychloroquine etc.

Several "COVID dissidents" have been paid by The Wellness Company.
Exposure
In 2025, Jonathan Couey shifted his focus from Team Worst Case Scenario to looking closely at the "health freedom movement", publishing a lot of videos about it at Gigaohm Biological.
