Speaking at an emergency session of the UN General Assembly on 26 October 2023, Israeli envoy Gilad Erdan described the Hamas attack on October 7th as a “pogrom”:

“The rockets were only cover for the pogrom that followed. Barbaric Hamas terrorists invaded Israel from the sea, the land and the air.
“They came with one purpose: to savagely murder every living thing they encountered.”[1]

Appearance in 2017 'Jewish Lobby' documentary

As Minister for Public Security, one of Gilad Erdan's primary responsibilities was to promote and coordinate opposition to BDS. Minister Erdan appeared in the 2017 Al Jazeera Documentary 'The Lobby' in connection with 'Labour Friends of Israel' and was recorded as follows:

I grew up with the ideology that the land of Israel totally belongs to the Jewish people... Not any compromise... morally Biblically. The land of Israel belongs to the Jewish people.[2]
