The group charged with deciding what could be said on Facebook, and what should be removed

Facebook's oversight board

Origins

Mark Zuckerberg suggested the idea of an oversight board in November 2018.[1]

Members

The first 20 members, scheduled to serve 3 year terms, were appointed in May 2020. The board is planned to have 40 members, of whom the remaining 20 were scheduled to be picked in 2021.[1] The group is chaired by Catalina Botero-Marino.[2]
