Dr Erkut Yücaoğlu is a Turkish industrialist with ties to the mighty Koç Family.

Background

" He has a Ph.D., Prof.Eng. and M.S. in Industrial Engineering, earned from Stanford University, and he has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Robert College."[1]

After graduating from Robert College in 1969, he completed his doctorate in industrial engineering at Stanford University.

He founded the Industrial Engineering Department at Boğaziçi University in 1974, and served as the founding chairman of the department until 1977. Yücaoğlu, who became the Planning Coordinator of Koç Holding in 1977, continued this duty until [[1979].

Yücaoğlu was the Regional Director of General Electric between 1983-1992.[2]

He became the Chairman of the Board of TÜSİAD in 1999. He was president of the High Advisory Council of TÜSİAD 2011-2014.

Dr. Yücaoğlu, the main shareholder and CEO of the MAP/TURKUAZ group of companies in Istanbul, was Chairman of the TÜSİAD High Advisory Council and a Member of the Özyeğin University Board of Trustees.

Yücaoğlu is mentioned in the Panama Papers,[3] having an offshore bank account in the Caribbean.
