Eric Bovim is an American entrepreneur and international strategic communications (ie propaganda) consultant for the French/International intelligence company Avisa Partners.

Career

Bovim launched his first public relations agency (2007) and since has advised dozens of corporate clients worldwide on crisis communications, public affairs matters, international dispute resolution, digital media, and strategic communications. After three years in Spain as a foreign correspondent for Reuters and Dow Jones Newswires, he returned to Washington, DC in 2001, where he began his career in public relations and consulting, working as Communications Director for a U.S. Senator. [1]

Before joining Avisa Partners, Eric Bovim was the managing director of Signal Group in Washington DC, a strategic communication and public affairs firm, for nearly seven years. In 2007, he founded his own public affairs firm, Gibraltar Associates, which merged with McBee Strategic Consulting in 2013. McBee Strategic Consulting, when it changed name, said in a press release "Our goal is to reach beyond the traditional businesses of advocacy, communications, and public affairs”... "to regain its footing in the competitive Beltway marketplace for communications and advocacy services", ie start working for diverse US government agencies. Later on, it rebranded as the Signal Group DC.[2]

Eric Bovim has counseled CEOs, top executives, and governments throughout a career that has seen him work with a wide array of the Fortune 500 companies, including Dole Food Company.[3]

Exposure

The methods of Avisa Partners were exposed in Integrity Initiative's Document:Combatting Russian Disinformation.
