Brigadier Henry David Allfrey MBE was listed by the Institute for Statecraft as a senior associate fellow of with a speciality of "The Contribution of Tourism and Culture to National Security; Broadening Support for the Defence Community" when the group took down their website.[1]

Career

In Kosovo in 2007

David Allfrey was a colonel in 2007, and head of the UK Army's head of recruitment strategy in 2007. “Our new model is about raising awareness, and that takes a ten-year span. It starts with a seven-year-old boy seeing a parachutist at an air show and thinking, ‘That looks great.’ From then the army is trying to build interest by drip, drip, drip.”[2]

David Allfrey retired from the Army in 2011 to become Producer & Chief Executive of The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.
