Joseph 'Cofer' Black is a US Deep state operative. He is known for his leading role in the CIA's worldwide kidnapping and torture programme euphemistically referred to as "extraordinary rendition".[1]

CIA Career

Cofer black worked for around 25 years in the CIA. Black was appointed Ambassador at Large and Coordinator for Counter-terrorism by President George W. Bush in December 2002. He was the Director of the National Counterterrorism Center (1999-2002).

Later activities

Since resigning from the CIA, Cofer Black has worked for private military contractors.

Blackwater

From 2005 until 2008, Black was Vice Chairman of Blackwater USA.

Total Intelligence Solutions

Black later served as the chairman of the privately owned intelligence gathering company Total Intelligence Solutions.

Blackbird Technologies

Black has worked as Vice President of Blackbird Technologies, a "technology solutions provider based in the Washington DC area".[2]
