Charles W. "Chas" Freeman was longtime president of the Middle East Policy Council. He has close relations to Saudi Arabia and Iran.[1]

Career

Freeman "was the principal American interpreter during Nixon's ground-breaking trip to China in 1972."[1] He has been Assistant Secretary of Defense and sat on the board of trustees of the Institute for Defense Analyses, a national security think tank from which the JASON Group once sprang.[1]

Deep political connections

Charles Freeman put a speech he gave to Le Cercle in 2008 online. As Joel Van der Reijden asked: "What part of 'off the record' don't they understand? "[2]
