Military program at the Swedish Defence University, designed to indoctrinate "society's key actors" in following the official narrative in "security" matters.

The Centre for Societal Security is a Swedish military program at the Swedish Defence University, designed to indoctrinate "society's key actors" in following the official narrative in "security" matters.

The Centre has about forty employees and a network of national and international researchers and practitioners.[1][2]

Own words

"We provide top-notch education, evaluations, investigations, and training exercises for society's key actors in total defence and societal security."[3]

Many of our courses are conducted on behalf of the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB), the Swedish Armed Forces and within the framework of NATO's Partnership for Peace Program (PfP).[4]

History

The Centre for Societal Security (CTSS) is a merger of three previous organisations: the Institute for National Defence and Security Policy Studies (IHT), the Centre for Asymmetric Threats and Terrorist Studies (CATS) and the Centre for Crisis Management Research and Training (CRISMART). [3]
