This is for all templates which can create links to external sites. These may be put through an anonymising website, such as http://anoniem.org. As of 29 October 2016, the only template to do this is Template:External icons/Xicon‎.

It might be good practice to route all external URL creation through a single template.

Most or all of the object templates belong in this category.
